Pyridase Tablet belongs to the class of medications called ‘analgesics’ used to treat mild to moderate pain. It can relieve pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with various chronic (long-term) conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis (joint pain, especially in the hands and feet) and osteoarthritis (joint pain, especially in the knees, hip, hands, neck, and lower back). It can also relieve acute (short-term) pain such as toothache, ear pain, throat pain, muscle ache, and backache.
Pyridase Tablet is a combination medicine that contains Nimesulide, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase. Nimesulide and Paracetamol are pain killers. They can also reduce fever and inflammation. They act by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation. On the other hand, Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme which works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and promotes healing.
Pyridase Tablet is available in the form of a tablet. It would be best if you took this Pyridase Tablet precisely as prescribed by your doctor. Pyridase Tablet is a combination medicine that contains Nimesulide, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic. Both medicines can reduce pain and fever. They act by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme. It causes thinning of the fluids around the damaged tissue, thereby making fluid drainage easier in the swollen tissue. This effect reduces swelling and promotes faster healing. Together, Pyridase Tablet can effectively reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Pyridase Tablet may cause liver damage on higher doses or when used for prolonged periods. So, if you notice signs of liver damage such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, dark urine, and fatigue, or if you have abnormal liver function tests, discontinue the treatment immediately and consult your doctor. Pain: Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. It can be temporary (acute) or lifelong (chronic). Acute pain is, for a short time, caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or organs. At the same time, chronic pain lasts lifelong and can occur due to severe inflammation or tissue damage, such as in cases of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Extreme tissue pain and inflammation caused due to sprains, strains, trauma, or post-surgery may require a prolonged amount of time to heal.
Osteoarthritis: It is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage.
