About Puron 50mg Injection

Puron 50mg Injection belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) used to treat acute moderate to severe pain such as renal colic (severe kidney pain), post-operative pain and low back pain when taking tablets is inappropriate. Pain is an unpleasant sensation caused by an injury or illness. Pain may be acute (short term) or chronic (long term).

Puron 50mg Injection contains Dexketoprofen, which works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body involved in producing certain chemical substances, such as prostaglandins, that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving pain and swelling.

Puron 50mg Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience pain, bruising, inflammation or bleeding at the injection site, nausea, or vomiting. Most of these side effects of Puron 50mg Injection do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor if you are taking pain killer (aspirin), corticosteroids or other anti-inflammatory drugs, blood thinner (warfarin, heparin), medicine used to treat certain mood disorders (lithium), drug used for rheumatoid arthritis and cancer (methotrexate), anticonvulsants (hydantoins, phenytoin), antibiotic (sulphamethoxazole, aminoglycoside antibiotics), medicines used to treat chronic venous ulcers (pentoxifylline, oxpentifylline), antiretroviral drug (zidovudine), antidiabetics (chlorpropamide, glibenclamide) or medicines used to treat high blood pressure and heart conditions (diuretics, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II antagonists and beta-blockers).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption with Puron 50mg Injection.

Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have or have previously suffered from asthma, peptic ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, have blood clotting or bleeding disorder, serious heart failure, kidney or liver problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus (autoimmune disease), inform your doctor before receiving Puron 50mg Injection.
