About Pryzm 500mg Tablet

Pryzm 500mg Tablet belongs to the group of antibiotics medicines called cephalosporins used to treat bacterial infections such as ear, nose, and/or throat infections, sinusitis, otitis media, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, pharyngotonsillitis, tracheobronchitis, and gonococcal urethritis in men.

Pryzm 500mg Tablet contains Cefetamet, which prevents the bacteria from forming the cell wall required for survival. Thereby, it helps treat bacterial infections.

In some cases, Pryzm 500mg Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, consult a doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Pryzm 500mg Tablet contains Cefetamet, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as ear, nose, and/or throat infections, sinusitis (inflammation of cavities in the nasal passage), otitis media (infection of the middle ear), lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, pharyngotonsillitis (inflammation of the tonsils and throat), tracheobronchitis (inflammation of the trachea and bronchi), acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and gonococcal urethritis in men. Pryzm 500mg Tablet works by inhibiting the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in the bacterial cell wall by binding to one or more of the penicillin-binding proteins. Thereby, Pryzm 500mg Tablet helps treat bacterial infection.
