Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml

Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml is an immunizing agent used for active immunization against pneumococcal infections in adults and children. Pneumococcal disease is a severe infection caused by the bacteria named Streptococcus pneumoniae. Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml is used to treat or prevent 14 different serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae including bacteraemia, meningitis, pneumonia, and otitis media.

Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml contains ‘Pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine’, which helps to develop immunity by starting a mild infection. This vaccine provides protection or immunization against 14 different serotypes.

Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml may cause common side effects like fever, chills, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, redness, rashes, pain at the injection site, and decreased appetite (feeling not hungry). If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. A healthcare doctor will administer Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to components or diphtheria vaccine. Let your doctor if you have any history of liver/kidney disease or other health-related issues before receiving Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor beforehand. Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml can be safely given to the children if prescribed by the doctor. 

Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml is a vaccine used to treat/prevent pneumococcal infections. It helps develop immunity by starting a mild infection. This condition does not produce disease but stimulates the body's immune system to make antibodies (proteins) to prevent upcoming infections. This vaccine contains 14 different serotypes that provide protection against Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Avoid receiving Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml if you or your child have any known hypersensitivity or anaphylactic reaction (shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, anxiety, confusion, or fever are some symptoms) to a previous dose of Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml or any of its components.  Keep your doctor informed about your complete medical and medication history to rule out any adverse effects. Inform your doctor if you have liver/kidney disease, are taking anticoagulant medicines, have bleeding disorders, have a weak immune system, or have severe infections with high fever priority. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml. Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml can be safely given to the children if prescribed by your doctor. Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml can be given to patients with mild fever or cold, but if a patient develops severe fever or infection, Pneumoshield 14 PFS Injection 0.5 ml should not be given until the fever subsides.
