About Pitpat 5mg Tablet

Pitpat 5mg Tablet belongs to the 'antihistamine' class of drugs, primarily used to treat allergies. It also treats allergic rhinitis/allergic nasal inflammation, hives (skin rash), and itching associated with skin diseases. Allergy is an immune response produced by the body in response to allergens. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or skin flakes from certain animals.

Pitpat 5mg Tablet contains Olopatadine, an antihistamine drug. It inhibits the release of histamine (chemical messengers released due to an allergic response in the body) from mast cells. Thereby treats symptoms of allergies like runny nose, sneezing, and itching.
