About Pepfiz Orange Tablet

Pepfiz Orange Tablet is a digestive medicine. It is indicated for symptomatic relief from heartburn, flatulence (gas) and dyspepsia (indigestion). Heartburn is a burning sensation in the chest, behind the breastbone. It happens when stomach acid flows back up your oesophagus. Flatulence or Gas is the movement of gas from the digestive system through the back passage. Indigestion is the inability to digest the complex form of food associated with a sour stomach, and gas formation with mild pain/discomfort in the stomach.

Pepfiz Orange Tablet combines Fungal Diastase, Papain, and Simethicone. Fungal Diastase is a starch-degrading enzyme. It helps digest starch and carbohydrates from the diet into simple polysaccharides and sugar. Papain is an enzyme that digests protein and catalyses the breakdown of proteins by hydrolysis. It is sparingly soluble in water. On the other hand, Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to combine into larger bubbles in the stomach that can be passed more easily. It increases the rate at which gas exits the body. Thus, Pepfiz Orange Tablet relief from gas, heartburn, flatulence and indigestion.

Pepfiz Orange Tablet should be used in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor based on your medical condition. Pepfiz Orange Tablet is generally safe to use. However, some may experience side effects like nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, headache and painful urination. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, please seek medical attention if they occur.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any component of Pepfiz Orange Tablet. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised not to take Pepfiz Orange Tablet unless your doctor instructs you to take it. If you have a history of inflammation/swelling of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis), let your doctor know about it. Do not use Pepfiz Orange Tablet in children unless prescribed by a doctor. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided while using Pepfiz Orange Tablet.
