Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

In some cases, Pelpod 50 Syrup Orange may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain.
