PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET is used to prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. It contains Palonosetron which works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre. Nausea is a feeling of uneasiness of the stomach that often comes before vomiting. On the other hand, vomiting is the forcible voluntary or involuntary emptying of stomach contents through the mouth.
PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET contains Palonosetron, which works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone—CTZ) in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting.
Take PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, constipation, dizziness or headache. Most of these side effects of PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Drug-Drug Interaction: PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET may interact with antidepressants (citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, escitalopram, duloxetine, venlafaxine), heart-related drugs or high blood pressure (quinidine, amiodarone, nicardipine), antibiotics (moxifloxacin, erythromycin), antiemetic (domperidone), antipsychotic drugs (thioridazine, quetiapine, chlorpromazine, haloperidol).
