Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI contains Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride, a nasal decongestant that works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels in the linings of nasal passages. Thus, Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI provides relief from congestion and decreases mucus production. 

Use Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Some people may experience irritation or dryness of the nasal mucosa (tissue lining the nasal cavity), local burning sensation, headache, and nausea. Directions for Use

Use Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before using the Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI.Nasal spray: Insert the tip of the bottle into a nostril while closing the other nostril and spray towards the sides of the nostril. Keep your head straight and breathe gently. Repeat the same process for another nostril.Nasal drops: Tilt your head back, hold the dropper over the dose, and apply the prescribed number of drops to the nose. Bend your head slightly forward and move it gently left and right. Avoid sneezing or blowing your nose for at least a few minutes after using the drops.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI may interact with antidepressants (imipramine, desipramine, amitriptyline), ergot alkaloids (ergonovine, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine) and MAO inhibitors (linezolid, selegiline, tranylcypromine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI may interact with caffeine. Therefore, avoid or limit the intake of caffeine (chocolate, tea, coffee, colas and some herbal supplements), with Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects such as sleep problems, rapid heartbeat, nervousness, nausea or tremor. 

Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, enlarged prostate gland, narrow-angle glaucoma or heart disease, inform your doctor before taking Otrivin Advance New Nasal 100 MDI.
