Earwax, also called cerumen, helps protect the inside of the ear canal from microorganisms and foreign particles. When the ear glands produce more earwax than necessary, it becomes hard and blocks the ear. Unremoved ear wax can lead to infections.

Otoid Ear 10Ml Drops is a combination of four medicines: Paradichlorobenzene (hydrating agent), Lignocaine (local anaesthetic), Chlorbutol (preservative) and Turpentine oil (lubricating agent). Paradichlorobenzene softens the ear wax by reducing its thickness. Lignocaine decreases the sensation of pain by blocking the pain signals. Chlorbutol acts as a preservative and wax softener. Turpentine oil acts as a lubricating agent. Together, Otoid Ear 10Ml Drops helps in softening the ear wax.

Otoid Ear 10Ml Drops is for otic (ear) use only. You are advised to use Otoid Ear 10Ml Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as irritation and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use Otoid Ear 10Ml Drops if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you have an inflamed ear canal, perforated eardrum or eczema (skin inflammation) on the outer ear. Inform your doctor if you have any hearing problems, intestinal problems,  such as blockage, swelling or ulcers, kidney problems, Parkinson's disease or myasthenia gravis (muscle problems).
