About Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop

Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop belongs to the class of medication called ‘ophthalmic agents’ primarily Indicated for treating ocular congestion, discomfort, and inflammation of a non-infectious origin. Ocular congestion is a symptom caused by inflammation of the conjunctiva.

Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop contains Naphazoline, a vasoconstrictor that reduces congestion at the administration site by activating alpha-adrenergic receptors in arterioles (blood vessels). Thus, it reduces the symptoms of ocular congestion, discomfort, and inflammation (redness and swelling in the eye).

Use Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop as recommended by a health care professional. Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop is only for use in the eyes. In some cases, you may experience eye pain, irritation, blurred vision, and Mydriasis (dilation of the pupil of the eye). Most of these side effects of Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop should be avoided if you are allergic to any components in Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop. Directions for Use

Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Please do not touch the container tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop and cause eye infections. Instil 3-4 drops in the affected eye three times a day or as directed by a physician.

What if I have taken an overdose of Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Opticlear 0.01% Eye Drop may include dizziness, headache, increased sweating, nausea, nervousness, severe weakness, decrease in body temperature, and slow heartbeat.
