Ofloxacin Injection is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Ofloxacin Injection does not work against infections caused by a virus.
Ofloxacin Injection contains Ofloxacin, which works by interfering with bacterial enzymes and DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Ofloxacin Injection kills bacteria and clears the infection.
Ofloxacin Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
