Ocupol DX Drops 5ml belongs to the class of combination medications called ‘antibiotics' and 'steroids' used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections and ear infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Ocupol DX Drops 5ml does not work against infections caused by viruses and fungi.

Ocupol DX Drops 5ml is a combination of Chloramphenicol, Dexamethasone, and Polymyxin B. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that acts by interfering with the formation of essential proteins required for bacterial growth. Dexamethasone is a steroid that reduces inflammation and symptoms associated with infection, such as redness and irritation. Polymyxin B is bactericidal, which works by killing the bacterial cell and preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls, which is essential for survival. Together Ocupol DX Drops 5ml prevent the spread of eye and ear infections caused by a wide range of gram-negative bacteria causing eye/ear infections.

Directions for Use

Blink a few times to spread the medication inside your eye.Ear drops: Do not touch the dropper; hold it close to the ear by tilting your head to the side. Gently squeeze the dropper and put the ear drops inside the ear. Keep your head tilted for a minute to let the drops soak in.
