About Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops

Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections and reduce swelling, itching, and redness. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.

Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops is a combination of two drugs, namely: Tobramycin (antibiotic) and Fluorometholone (corticosteroid). Tobramycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. Fluorometholone belongs to the class of steroids that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections.

Use Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience eye irritation, eye redness, itchy or swollen eyelids, mild burning or stinging sensation in the eye, or eye discomfort. Directions for Use

Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops is for external use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops. Lie down and tilt your head backward. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instill the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Replace the outer cap after use. Do not touch the container’s tip to the eye, eyelids or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops.

Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye, especially if you have disorders of the cornea (transparent layer at the front of the eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before applying Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops and reinsert after 15 minutes of using Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Obrin-F 5Ml Eye Drops.
