Normaxin RT Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome. It may also be indicated for the treatment of intestinal ulcers, gastric acidity, abdominal pain/cramps, and anxiety. Irritable bowel syndrome is an intestinal disorder that causes uncomfortable abdominal symptoms.

Normaxin RT Tablet contains Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, Dicyclomine and Rabeprazole. Chlordiazepoxide decreases abnormal activity in the brain. Clidinium and Dicyclomine work by decreasing stomach and intestinal spasms. Rabeprazole reduces stomach acid and relieves acid-related heartburn and indigestion.

In some cases, you may experience side effects such as dry mouth, flatulence, blurred vision, and drowsiness. These side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Normaxin RT Tablet may cause drowsiness and blurred vision; do not drive or handle machinery unless you are alert. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Do not take Normaxin RT Tablet if you are allergic to its components. Inform the doctor if you have depression, mood disorder, suicidal tendency, alcoholism, drug addiction, liver or kidney disease, difficulty urinating, intestinal blockage, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, ulcerative colitis, thyroid problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, prostate enlargement, asthma, chronic lung disease, osteoporosis, lupus (autoimmune disease), or low levels of magnesium. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements and herbal products.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform the doctor if you are taking pain killers (hydrocodone, oxycodone, acetaminophen), blood thinner (clopidogrel), anti-psychotic (anti-depressants (duloxetine, sertraline), muscle relaxant (cyclobenzaprine), anti-convulsant (topiramate, pregabalin), anti-anxiety (alprazolam), antihistamine (diphenhydramine), or anti-hypertensive agent (metoprolol).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform the doctor if you have arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), gastrointestinal obstruction, glaucoma, infectious diarrhoea, acute alcohol intoxication, autonomic neuropathy (nerve damage), respiratory depression, seizures, depression, psychoses, tardive dyskinesia (uncontrollable movements of the face), liver or kidney problems.
