NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET is used to treat angina pectoris, in which the blood vessels of the heart narrow unexpectedly and suddenly. This leads to decreased blood flow to the heart's muscles, which in turn causes suffocation and tight pain in the chest, neck, or arm area.

NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET a mononitrate form of isosorbide is a powerful vasodilator (widens blood vessels). It works by the formation of the free radical nitric oxide (NO) inside our body, which leads to the relaxation of muscles of blood vessels, especially of the heart, leading to proper blood flow towards the heart muscle, which has been working under immense pressure due to decreased blood flow to it.

NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, with or without a meal at fixed intervals every day for best results. The name of the dose of $ can vary depending on your condition and its severity. Also, it is recommended that you complete the course of medicine even if you feel better. The common side effects of NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET include nausea, dizziness & headache. Angina usually feels like tight chest pain, neck or arm area. The pain originates from the heart muscle and is a sign that part of it is not getting enough oxygen for the amount of work it is doing.

What if I have taken an overdose of NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of NITROFIX SR 60MG TABLET as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include severe dizziness, fever, severe throbbing headache, confusion, vision problems, fast or pounding heartbeats, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, trouble breathing, bloody diarrhoea, cold or clammy skin, sweating, seizures (fits), and fainting. If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.
