About Neotach 100mg Injection

Neotach 100mg Injection belongs to the group of medicines called beta-blockers used for the short-term treatment of fast heartbeat. It is also used during and straight after surgery to treat high blood pressure and/or fast heartbeat.

Neotach 100mg Injection contains Esmolol, which works by controlling the force and rate of heartbeat. It also helps reduce the blood pressure. Thereby, it helps slow down the heart rate and reduce blood pressure.

In some cases, Neotach 100mg Injection may cause side effects such as a fall in blood pressure, excessive sweating, loss of appetite, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not use Neotach 100mg Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Neotach 100mg Injection is not recommended for children below 18 years as the efficacy and safety have not been established. Drug Warnings

Neotach 100mg Injection should not be used if you are allergic to any of its components if you have a very slow heartbeat, severe heart block, low blood pressure, problems with blood supply to the heart, serious heart failure symptoms, phaeochromocytoma (hormone-secreting tumour occurring in the adrenal glands), asthma symptoms that are worsening rapidly, or metabolic acidosis (increased levels of acid in the body). Inform the doctor if you are being treated for certain heart rhythm disorders/heart problems or if you are taking other heart medicines if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart failure, heart block, skin problems, chest pain/angina, circulatory problems, kidney problems, psoriasis, or hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). Neotach 100mg Injection is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and for children below 18 years.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Inform the doctor if you are taking medicines used to lower blood pressure or heart rate, calcium channel blockers (nifedipine), anti-diabetics, pain killers (floctafenine), antipsychotics (amisulpride, clozapine), tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine, amitriptyline), anticonvulsant (phenobarbital), anti-hypertensives (reserpine, clonidine, moxonidine), or blood thinner (warfarin).
