About Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension belongs to the class of medicines called corticosteroids, which are used to relieve the symptoms of asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes).

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension decreases inflammation and irritation in the airways and makes breathing easier. Thus, it provides relief from the symptoms of asthma and COPD.

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension may cause side effects, including upset stomach, sore throat, oral thrush, hoarse voice, headache, nausea, and tiredness/weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension should be avoided if allergic to it.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.
