Mycosis-KT Ointment is used to treat skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. Skin infections occur when bacteria or fungi invade the skin and cause irritation, redness, and other issues.

Mycosis-KT Ointment is a combination medication which contains ketoconazole, tolnaftate, clobetasol propionate, neomycin, iodochlorhydroxyquinoline, and dexpanthenol. It effectively treats skin infections by stopping fungal growth, inhibiting inflammation and bacterial survival, and promoting wound healing through the combined actions of its antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-repairing properties.

In some cases, Mycosis-KT Ointment may cause side effects such as skin peeling, dryness, burning sensation, irritation, stinging sensation, itching, and redness at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use Mycosis-KT Ointment if you are hypersensitive or allergic to its components. Mycosis-KT Ointment is for external use only. Do not swallow. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are a nursing mother, you should not use Mycosis-KT Ointment without a doctor's advice. Do not use Mycosis-KT Ointment in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for longer, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor advises. Do not apply Mycosis-KT Ointment on children's skin unless prescribed by the doctor.

Mycosis-KT Ointment is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area. Apply Mycosis-KT Ointment directly onto the affected area and gently massage until it gets fully absorbed.

Even if your symptoms improve, you should continue using Mycosis-KT Ointment for the duration prescribed by a doctor as they may cause symptoms to recur.

It is recommended not to use Mycosis-KT Ointment if you are allergic to any of its components, so inform your doctor about your sensitivities with medicines and foods. Also, let your doctor know about your medical condition and the medicines you are currently using. Do not use any other drugs with Mycosis-KT Ointment without a doctor’s recommendation. Do not use Mycosis-KT Ointment unless prescribed by the doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve despite using Mycosis-KT Ointment for 2-4 weeks.
