About Mox-P 250 mg Tablet

Mox-P 250 mg Tablet belongs to the class of medicines called 'penicillin antibiotics' with probiotics. It treats various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Besides this, Mox-P 250 mg Tablet prevents antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, dysentery (water loss), and infectious diarrhoea. Mox-P 250 mg Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 

Mox-P 250 mg Tablet contains two medicines, namely: Amoxycillin (antibiotic) and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Amoxycillin is bactericidal (kills bacteria) that works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (protective cell wall) necessary for their survival, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut (digestive tract) destroyed due to the use of antibiotics.

Take Mox-P 250 mg Tablet as prescribed. The dose and duration of Mox-P 250 mg Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects like skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Directions for Use

Tablet/capsule: Take it as advised by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.Syrup: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.
