About Mometone 0.1% Cream
Mometone 0.1% Cream is used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness, and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.
Mometone 0.1% Cream contains Mometasone furoate, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally.
Use Mometone 0.1% Cream as prescribed. You are advised to use Mometone 0.1% Cream for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition. Mometone 0.1% Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with Mometone 0.1% Cream by nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Mometone 0.1% Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
