About Microdox-LBX Capsule

Microdox-LBX Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections of the chest, lungs, nasal cavities (bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis), kidneys and bladder infections (cystitis, urethritis), skin infections (acne), and other infections like malaria, cholera, brucellosis (infection due to unpasteurised products), leptospirosis (infection caused by animals’ urine) and psittacosis (infection from parrots). Microdox-LBX Capsule is also used to treat sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea, syphilis, and chlamydia and rickettsial infections like Q fever. Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause illness. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Microdox-LBX Capsule contains 'Doxycycline' (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus acidophilus (probiotic). Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by preventing the synthesis of bacterial proteins, which are the primary cursors for carrying out bacteria's vital functions. This process further inhibits bacterial growth. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic that helps restore good bacteria and reduce stomach upset and diarrhoea caused by antibiotics like Doxycycline.

Like all medicines, Microdox-LBX Capsule also causes side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common side effects of Microdox-LBX Capsule include diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and photosensitivity. If any of these effects persist or worsen, seek medical advice promptly.

Brief the doctor about your medical history if you are allergic to Microdox-LBX Capsule or any of its components. Let your doctor know if you have any kidney or liver diseases, asthma or sulphite allergy, myasthenia gravis (muscle disorder), porphyria (genetic disease), and systemic lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune disease) before starting Microdox-LBX Capsule . Do not use Microdox-LBX Capsule while having vaccinations with live bacterial vaccines (typhoid vaccine) since Doxycycline may affect vaccines' activity. It is advised to consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Microdox-LBX Capsule . Microdox-LBX Capsule is not recommended in children below eight years of age since it causes permanent tooth discolouration.

If you notice any changes in your weight after taking Microdox-LBX Capsule , please consult your doctor.
After taking Microdox-LBX Capsule , waiting at least 1-2 hours before eating is recommended. This allows the antibiotic (doxycycline) to be properly absorbed, while the probiotic (Lactobacillus acidophilus) may help restore gut flora, potentially minimizing side effects.
