Metson Lotion 50 ml

Metson Lotion is used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness, and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches. 

Metson Lotion contains Mometasone furoate, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally.

Use Metson Lotion as prescribed. You are advised to use Metson Lotion for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition. Metson Lotion is for external use only. Avoid contact with Metson Lotion by nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Metson Lotion comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Mometasone furoate or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Metson Lotion. Metson Lotion is not recommended for long-term use by children as it may lead to slow growth. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice vision changes after using Metson Lotion. Stop using Metson Lotion and contact your doctor if your skin becomes sensitive or irritated. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Avoid using Metson Lotion for more than five days in children and on the face. Avoid using Metson Lotion in or around the eyes, including eyelids. Do not use Metson Lotion on large areas of the body or for longer.

Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), acne, skin atrophy (thinning of the skin), perioral dermatitis (redness and swelling of the skin around the mouth), cold sores, genital itching, chickenpox, shingles, warts, wounds, ulcerated skin, please inform your doctor before using Metson Lotion.

• Eat foods rich in quercetin (a flavonoid), such as apples, cherries, broccoli, spinach and blueberries.
• Consuming food rich in probiotics helps in developing the immune system against allergies.
• Limit intake of food that might trigger allergies, such as dairy products, soy, eggs, and nuts.
• Avoid the consumption of foods with excess sugar, as it may flare up inflammation.
• Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and fish in your diet.
• Reducing stress and maintaining a regular sleep pattern would be helpful.
• Avoid getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents, and rough fabrics.
