About Metopar Syrup

Metopar Syrup is used to treat migraine symptoms such as nausea, headache, and vomiting. Migraine is a neurological condition characterized by an intense, pulsating, throbbing, or pounding headache, typically occurring on one side of the head. However, it can also affect either side or shift.

Metopar Syrup combines two medicines: Metoclopramide (anti-emetics) and Paracetamol (analgesics). Metoclopramide acts on the brain to prevent nausea and vomiting while also promoting stomach emptying by affecting the upper digestive muscles. Paracetamol blocks the action of prostaglandins, chemical messengers responsible for pain. Together, Metopar Syrup effectively relieves migraine symptoms.

Take Metopar Syrup exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Use it for the duration recommended based on your medical condition. The common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea, weakness, and nervousness. These side effects are usually mild and tend to resolve on their own over time. However, contact your doctor if any symptoms persist or cause concern.

It is important to consult your doctor before taking Metopar Syrup if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Metopar Syrup should not be used during the first 6 months of pregnancy. Metopar Syrup may cause drowsiness and sleepiness. Therefore, caution should be exercised while driving. Metopar Syrup is not recommended for individuals under 18 years old, as its safety and effectiveness have not been established in this age group. Alcohol should be avoided while taking Metopar Syrup, as it may increase drowsiness and sleepiness. Be sure to inform your doctor about your health condition and any other medications you are taking to avoid potential side effects.
