About Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml

Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic (eye) use only; do not inject or swallow. Do not use Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye(s). Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml contains tobramycin which works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml effectively treats bacterial eye infections.

Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye cream/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
