About Lymed Tablet

Lymed Tablet is a combination medication that belongs to a class of drugs called 'analgesic' used to relieve musculoskeletal pain in the conditions of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It may also provide relief from acute (short-term) pain such as toothache, ear pain, throat pain, muscle ache, and backache. Pain is caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or other organs for a short time (acute) or long time (chronic).

Lymed Tablet contains Rutoside, Trypsin-chymotrypsin and Bromelain. Trypsin-chymotrypsin and Bromelain are enzymes that have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. They reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation by increasing the blood supply to the affected area. Rutoside is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. It prevents further swelling and inflammation by neutralizing the chemicals (free radicals) that cause cell damage.

Take Lymed Tablet with or without food as prescribed by your doctor and swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Your doctor will advise you on the duration based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, rash, or mouth sores. Most of these side effects of Lymed Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Lymed Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid Lymed Tablet in patients who are allergic to pineapple, carrot, papaya, fennel, and pollens. Lymed Tablet is not recommended for pregnant women as it contains Bromelain, which may cause abortion or miscarriage. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please consult a doctor before taking Lymed Tablet . Before undergoing any planned surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking Lymed Tablet .

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Turmeric and fish oils can help in reducing inflammation in the tissue.
  • Do not go for heavy exercise, as it may increase your joint pain in arthritis. Instead, you can do stretching and low-impact aerobic exercises like walking on a treadmill, biking, and swimming. You can also increase your muscle strength by lifting light weights.
  • Get adequate sleep, as resting the muscles can help reduce inflammation and swelling.
  • In chronic arthritis or joint pain, fish like salmon, trout, tuna, and sardines are included. These fishes are enriched with omega-3 fatty acids that minimize the level of chemicals called cytokines, which may increase inflammation.
  • Your sitting posture is essential, especially when you have pain and inflammation conditions. Try to sit as little as possible and only briefly (10-15 min). Use back support like a rolled-up towel to minimise pain at the back of your curve. Keep your hips and knees at a right angle. Besides this, you can use a footrest if required.

Special Advise

Patients with severe inborn bleeding disorders like haemophilia, severe liver damage, and dialysed patients must not use Lymed Tablet .

Due to the absence of this protective covering, the joints rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness. Symptoms include pain, stiffness, inflammation, and tenderness.
