About Lycalamine Lotion
Lycalamine Lotion belongs to the class of 'anti-allergens'. Lycalamine Lotion is used in the treatment of allergic skin conditions. It is also used to treat itching, insect/sting bites, eczema, and other minor skin conditions.
Lycalamine Lotion is a combination of three medicines namely: calamine, diphenhydramine, and camphor. Calamine and camphor are two astringents whereas diphenhydramine is anti-allergic. The astringents work by imparting a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor skin irritation and the antiallergic works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby relieving symptoms of skin allergy.

Before you apply Lycalamine Lotion topical, wash the skin with soap and water. Allow the skin to dry completely.
