LOZEE M CREAM is a combination medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungi. Additionally, LOZEE M CREAM may also be used to treat diaper/nappy rash. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).
LOZEE M CREAM is a combination of three medicines, namely: Miconazole (antifungal), Clobetasone (steroid), and Zinc oxide (antiseptic). Miconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Zinc oxide has antiseptic and astringent properties. Clobetasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, LOZEE M CREAM helps in treating skin infections.
LOZEE M CREAM is for external use only. You are advised to use LOZEE M CREAM for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Do not use LOZEE M CREAM if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using LOZEE M CREAM if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use LOZEE M CREAM in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage/diaper unless advised by your doctor. Do not apply LOZEE M CREAM on children’s skin unless prescribed by the doctor.
