About LOZEE CREAM

LOZEE CREAM belongs to the group of medicines called 'topical corticosteroids', primarily used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, allergies, nappy rash.  This medicine effectively reduces swelling, itching and redness of the skin. Psoriasis is a long-lasting skin issue that makes skin red, patchy and is mostly seen on elbows and scalp. Dermatitis makes skin red, swollen and dry and is more see in children, however, anyone can experience it. Eczema is skin issues in which certain patches of skin becomes cracked, itchy, rough and inflamed. Skin allergy occurs when the skin comes in direct contact with certain pollens, foods, pet dander. A nappy rash may make the child's skin sore and red.

LOZEE CREAM is made up of two medications namely: Clobetasol and Zinc sulfate. Clobetasol is a steroid medicine that works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Zinc is an important mineral that helps to maintain the health of the skin. Zinc helps to heal the infection. Together, LOZEE CREAM helps in treating skin infections.

You are advised to use LOZEE CREAM for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as skin peeling, dryness, burning sensation, irritation, stinging sensation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

It also has moisturizing properties that gently moisturize the skin and control the symptoms of different skin conditions. This medication can also be used as 'maintenance therapy' to keep the different skin conditions under control.

Directions for Use

LOZEE CREAM is for external use only. Take a small amount on the fingertip and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid contact with the nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly.

Drug Warnings

To treat your condition effectually continue using LOZEE CREAM for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not use LOZEE CREAM if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Do not apply LOZEE CREAM on children’s skin unless prescribed by the doctor. Apply the medication carefully if you are using it on eyelids or near the eyes, as there is a risk of cataracts or glaucoma if the drug enters the eye frequently. LOZEE CREAM can enter the skin easily and may cause skin thinning because of repeated application. So, apply it carefully when using on broken or damaged skin and large surface area of skin. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience vision problems or any other abnormal signs. Do not use LOZEE CREAM at the same time as other creams or ointments such as a moisturizer. Wait at least 30 minutes between using clobetasone and any other product. Do not apply LOZEE CREAM on open wounds, infected skin, cuts and inflamed skin.
