Lodoz 5 Tablet is a combination of blood pressure-lowering medicine primarily used to treat high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high, leading to hypertension. Lodoz 5 Tablet aids in lowering blood pressure to normal, thereby helping in reducing the risk of having a stroke, heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future.
Lodoz 5 Tablet contains Bisoprolol fumarate (beta-blocker) and Hydrochlorothiazide (diuretics or water pills). Bisoprolol fumarate relaxes the blood vessels by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body. It helps slow down the heart rate, making it easier to pump blood around the body. Hydrochlorothiazide lowers blood pressure by removing extra water/fluid and certain electrolyte overload from the body.
Take Lodoz 5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Lodoz 5 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. In some cases, Lodoz 5 Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, weakness, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, and indigestion. Most of these side effects of Lodoz 5 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Before starting Lodoz 5 Tablet , please inform your doctor if you have an allergy, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, thyroid, glaucoma, kidney/liver disease, gout or if you cannot pass urine. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and all the medicines you take to rule out any side effects. Lodoz 5 Tablet is not recommended for children younger than 18 years of age.
