About Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet

Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called synthetic thyroid hormones used to treat hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). It can be used as an adjunct to surgery and radioiodine therapy in managing well-differentiated thyroid cancer. On the other hand, it can used as a diagnostic agent in the Thyroid Suppression Test. Hypothyroidism is a chronic condition in which the thyroid gland (located below the throat in the neck) cannot produce enough thyroid hormone.

Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet contains Levothyroxine that replaces thyroxine (a thyroid hormone) naturally produced by the thyroid gland. Thus, it restores the levels of thyroid hormones.

Take Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, dyspnea, headache, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, tremors, muscle weakness, increased appetite, weight loss, diarrhoea, heat intolerance, menstrual irregularities, and skin rash. Most of these side effects of Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Linorma T3 5 mcg Tablet may include cold, clammy skin, confusion (about identity, place, and time), difficulty in speaking, dizziness, double vision, fast or weak pulse, headache or lightheadedness, inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles, inability to speak, loss of consciousness, nervousness, seizure, sensitivity to heat, slow speech, sweating, trouble sleeping, and weight loss. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
