L-Hist Mont Syrup is used in the treatment of allergies. It helps provide relief from various allergic reactions, such as colds, runny nose, sneezing, etc., in children. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when foreign particles enter the body. This allergic reaction may vary from person to person.

L-Hist Mont Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine containing Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist, which blocks a chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation and swelling in the nose. Levocetirizine works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called ‘histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Together, this medicine helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms, like blocked/runny/itchy nose and red/watery eyes that occur due to allergic conditions.

L-Hist Mont Syrup may cause certain side effects in your child, such as abdominal pain, headache, cold-like nose symptoms (in children), or diarrhoea (in children). These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. L-Hist Mont Syrup should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of L-Hist Mont Syrup to the child. L-Hist Mont Syrup can be given with or without food. The dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician depending on the type and severity of the infection.

L-Hist Mont Syrup is intended for paediatric use only. Avoid giving L-Hist Mont Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform your child’s doctor about liver and kidney disease.

• Sleeping for 7-9 hours each night can make your child stay fit and safe.
• It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, etc. Certain food items are known to cause allergies to you.
• Make your child drink more fluids to avoid dehydration.
