Medicinal Benefits

Jakavi 5mg Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called kinase inhibitors indicated in the treatment of myelofibrosis and polycythaemia vera in adults. It is also used to treat graft-versus-host disease in adults and children above 12 years of age. Jakavi 5mg Tablet contains Ruxolitinib, which works by blocking the action of Janus-associated kinase enzymes, reduces the size of the spleen in patients with myelofibrosis and relieves symptoms like fever, bone pain, night sweats, and weight loss. Jakavi 5mg Tablet selectively blocks enzymes called Janus Associated Kinases (JAK1 and JAK2); this helps relieve the symptoms, reduce spleen size and the volume of red blood cells produced in patients with polycythaemia vera, thus potentially reducing the risk of serious blood or vascular complications. Jakavi 5mg Tablet reduces signs and symptoms of the acute and chronic forms of graft-versus-host disease, leading to disease improvement and survival of the transplanted cells.
