About Isol Eye Ointment 5 gm

Isol Eye Ointment 5 gm is indicated in the temporary relief of corneal oedema. It may also be used for irrigation of the eye as required, including removal of harmful substances and first aid. Corneal oedema, also called corneal swelling, is a condition caused by the build-up of fluid in the cornea.
 
Isol Eye Ointment 5 gm contains Sodium chloride that works by drawing fluid out of the cornea. Thereby, Isol Eye Ointment 5 gm helps reduce swelling and may lessen irritation or eye discomfort caused by swelling.
 
In some cases, Isol Eye Ointment 5 gm may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, redness, eye discomfort, and temporary blurred vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye ointment/gel/cream: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment/gel into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
