HP Kit belongs to the class of medicines called ‘anti-ulcerants' primarily used to treat peptic ulcers. A sore that develops on the lining of the oesophagus, stomach or small intestine called peptic ulcers.Ulcers occur when stomach acid damages the lining of the digestive tract and the most common symptom of a peptic ulcer is stomach pain.

HP Kit is a combination of three medicines include: omeprazole, amoxicillin and tinidazole, which are antiulcerants .Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and treats acid-related indigestion and ulcers. Amoxicillin is  an antibiotic which works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Tinidazole is also an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they eradicate the infection effectively.

Take HP Kit as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take HP Kit for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. Swallow each pill whole and do not crush, chew, break, or open it.  Take HP Kit twice daily before you eat, unless your doctor tells you about it.You may experience common side effects like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, flatulence, indigestion, dizziness, tiredness, headache, skin rash, dryness in mouth, metallic taste. Most of these side effects of HP Kit do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to HP Kit, have liver disease and kidney disease. Immediately contact your doctor if you are pregnant or are planning to get pregnant, are breastfeeding. Do not stop taking $ name without your doctor's advice. Finish the prescribed course of medicine, even if you start to feel better.

Drug-Drug Interaction: HP Kit may interact with other medicines like antifungal (ketoconazole,cotrimazole),pain killers (ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin), antibiotics (doxycycline, erythromycin, tetracycline,ampicillin),antiepileptics (phenytoin, Diazepam),immunosuppressants (cyclosporine) and oral anti-coagulants (warfarin).

Drug-Food Interaction: HP Kit severely interacts with grapefruit, grapefruit juices and alcohol.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with hemotological disorders, CNS disorders, liver and kidney diseases.

• Quit smoking
• Avoid alcohol
• Avoid spicy foods in your regular diet.
• Avoid coffee,tea,carbonated beverages,chocolate,chilies,hot peppers,processed foods,foods with a high amount of salt,deep-fried foods,acidic foods like citrus and tomatoes.
• Foods With Probiotics like yogurt, miso, kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha, and tempeh. They may help ulcers by fighting an H. pylori infection or by helping treatments work better.
• Eat soybeans,legumes,broccoil,kale,apples and berries. 

Do not stop taking HP Kit and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

Peptic ulcers:Peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine. Peptic ulcers include: Gastric ulcers [that occur on the inside of the stomach]Duodenal ulcers [that occur on the inside of the upper portion of your small intestine (duodenum)].Most common symptoms include stomach pain, bloating, belching ,heartburn and nausea. common causes of peptic ulcers are infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen and naproxen sodium. Stress and spicy foods do not cause peptic ulcers. However, they can make your symptoms worse.
