Horn Tablet is used to treat infections caused by protozoans and bacteria. About Horn Tablet

Horn Tablet belongs to a class of antibacterial medications called 'nitroimidazoles' primarily used to treat infections caused by protozoans & bacteria. It is used to treat amoebiasis, chlamydiosis, giardia infection, trichomonas infection, vaginal, urinary tract, intestinal and post-operative infections. Horn Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Horn Tablet contains 'Ornidazole' that works by damaging the DNA of the infection-causing agent and inhibiting their growth. Thereby treats infections.

In some cases, Horn Tablet may cause common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and taste disturbances. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Do not take Horn Tablet on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Consult your doctor before taking Horn Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Horn Tablet may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so be cautious while driving. Avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with Horn Tablet and for three days after the treatment.

Directions for Use

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.Syrup/Suspension/drops: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and take the scheduled dose instead. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
