About Hipoflox 50mg Infusion

Hipoflox 50mg Infusion is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Hipoflox 50mg Infusion does not work against infections caused by a virus.

Hipoflox 50mg Infusion contains Ofloxacin, which works by interfering with bacterial enzymes and DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Hipoflox 50mg Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection. 

Hipoflox 50mg Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Hipoflox 50mg Infusion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Hipoflox 50mg Infusion. Drug-Drug Interaction: Hipoflox 50mg Infusion may interact with an anticancer drug (methotrexate), antiarrhythmics (hydroquinone, disopyramide, quinidine, sotalol, amiodarone, ibutilide, dofetilide, digoxin, procainamide), some antimicrobials, tricyclic antidepressants, some antipsychotics, blood thinner (warfarin), water pills (furosemide), anesthetics, medicines used to lower blood pressure, antidiabetic drug (glibenclamide), gout medicine (probenecid), stomach acid reducer (cimetidine), other antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin, azithromycin), corticosteroids, antidepressants (imipramine, amitriptyline, clomipramine), anti-asthma drug(theophylline) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (fenbufen, indomethacin, diclofenac, ibuprofen).

  • Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking Hipoflox 50mg Infusion.
