About Gramoneg Oral Suspension

Gramoneg Oral Suspension is used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) caused by bacteria. Urinary tract infection is the most common infection in humans caused by microbes. It can occur in any part of the urinary tract, such as the bladder, urethra, kidneys, or ureters.

Gramoneg Oral Suspension contains Nalixic acid, an antibiotic that works by inhibiting the action of DNA gyrase (a bacterial enzyme), which is essential for repairing and replicating bacteria's genetic material (DNA). Thus, it prevents the reproduction and repair of bacteria. Thus, it kills bacteria and clears the infection.

Take Gramoneg Oral Suspension as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Gramoneg Oral Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, nausea, or stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Gramoneg Oral Suspension do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Gramoneg Oral Suspension or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Gramoneg Oral Suspension. Avoid taking Gramoneg Oral Suspension if you are breastfeeding as it may be excreted in breastmilk and harm the baby. You are recommended to complete the full course of Gramoneg Oral Suspension as your doctor prescribes for effective results. You are advised to maintain a time gap of 2 hours between taking Gramoneg Oral Suspension and mineral supplements, vitamins with minerals or iron, sucralfate, didanosine, or antacids containing magnesium, calcium, and aluminium.
