About Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution

Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution is used to treat oedema in children's acute and chronic cardiovascular, pulmonary, and kidney diseases. It effectively reduces excess fluid levels in the body and treats oedema (swelling) associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease.

Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution contains Furosemide. Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution works by increasing the amount of urine that is passed out from the kidneys. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Thus, it helps to lower high blood pressure.

Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution may cause feeling or being sick, frequent urination, hypotension (low blood pressure), dehydration, headache, fatigue or tiredness, low blood volume (hypovolaemia), and increased creatinine and blood urea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or you notice any unusual symptoms developing in the child, inform your paediatrician immediately.

Before using the Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution, please inform the doctor about your child's medical conditions, sensitivities, and all drugs they are taking. Continue using Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution for as long as your doctor has prescribed to treat your child's illness effectively. Do not use any other medications or supplements while using Furoped Pineapple Oral Solution unless recommended by the doctor.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

Diet:
  • Reduce sodium intake: Limiting sodium intake, a significant contributor to high blood pressure, is crucial. This involves reducing processed foods, canned goods, and added table salt.

  • Focus on a balanced diet: Encourage a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, which provide essential nutrients and have a natural diuretic effect, helping the body eliminate excess fluid.

  • Limit saturated and trans fats: These can contribute to various health concerns, including cardiovascular issues. Opt for healthier fats like those found in fish, nuts, and avocados.

  • Maintain a healthy weight: Excess weight strains the heart and circulatory system, potentially worsening hypertension and fluid retention.

Lifestyle:
  • Regular physical activity: As the paediatrician recommends, engaging in regular physical activity can help promote healthy blood pressure levels and overall well-being.

  • Adequate sleep: Sufficient sleep allows the body to rest and recover, which is essential for managing various health conditions, including hypertension.

  • Stress management: Stress can contribute to elevated blood pressure. Techniques like relaxation exercises and deep breathing can help manage stress in children.

Special Advise

  • Monitor your child’s blood pressure frequently, and if there is too much fluctuation, immediately contact your doctor.
  • If your child has a medical procedure that includes radiocontrast, do not give Furosemide (as taking Furosemide may increase the risk of kidney damage).
