Fixip-AZL Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, skin, nose, throat, chest, lungs, and urinary tract. Fixip-AZL Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply, and infect the body. Fixip-AZL Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
 
Fixip-AZL Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Azithromycin, Cefixime, and Lactobacillus. Azithromycin prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are required for the survival of the bacteria. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to the infection. Together, Fixip-AZL Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections. 
 
Take Fixip-AZL Tablet as prescribed. The dose and duration of Fixip-AZL Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. • Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics, such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice, as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.
