Fas 3 Kit is an antibiotic primarily used to treat vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis, trichomoniasis, and mixed infections with chlamydia and Neisseria. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Vaginal yeast infection or Candidiasis is the infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva). Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria. Symptoms of a vaginal infection include itching, odour and abnormal vaginal discharge.

Fas 3 Kit comprises three medicines: Azithromycin (antibiotic), Fluconazole (antifungal), and Secnidazole (antibiotic). Azithromycin belongs to the class of 'macrolide antibiotics'. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which inhibits bacterial growth. Fluconazole belongs to the class of 'azole antifungal' agents. It stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Secnidazole is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of 'amoebicides'. It works by stopping the growth of infection-causing bacteria.

Use Fas 3 Kit as prescribed by the doctor. Common side effects of Fas 3 Kit include taste changes, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, and loss of appetite. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Fas 3 Kit or any of its components. It is essential to tell your doctor if you use any other azole antifungal agents before using Fas 3 Kit. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney, gastrointestinal diseases (diarrhoea and colitis, inflammation of the colon), allergic conditions, ulcers or blisters, and urination problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting Fas 3 Kit. It is advised to avoid alcohol intake while using Fas 3 Kit to prevent any undesirable effects.

Do not use Fas 3 Kit if you are allergic to Fas 3 Kit or any of its components. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney, gastrointestinal diseases (diarrhoea and colitis, inflammation of the colon), allergic conditions, ulcers or blisters, or urination problems. Fas 3 Kit is not recommended in case of severe renal impairment. You are advised to use Fas 3 Kit under your doctor's supervision if you use other azole antifungal medicines. It is better to avoid Fas 3 Kit during the first trimester of pregnancy. Fas 3 Kit should be used with caution and only under a doctor's advice if you are a nursing mother. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or other side effects that may affect your mental ability to drive. Avoid alcohol consumption along with Fas 3 Kit to avoid undesirable effects like flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure. Do not take any antacids containing magnesium or aluminium for up to two hours after using Fas 3 Kit.

• Avoid frequent douching to maintain the natural moisture in the vagina.
• Use mild soap while taking baths, but you prefer warm baths.
• Avoid harsh products on your skin.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
