About Eyetech Eye Drops

Eyetech Eye Drops belongs to the class of 'ophthalmic lubricants' that treat dry eyes. A dry eye is a disorder of the tear film of the eye that leads to the deficiency or extreme evaporation of the tears causing damage to the ocular surface.

Eyetech Eye Drops is composed of Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose and Stabilized Oxychloro complex. Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose is a tear substitute and a lubricant that keeps the eyes moist and helps protect the eyes from infection. It also relieves foreign body sensations, burning, and itching of the eyes. Stabilized Oxychloro complex is an antimicrobial preservative.

Eyetech Eye Drops is for ophthalmic (for the eye) use only. Common side effects of Eyetech Eye Drops include eye irritation/itching, burning/stinging sensation, eye discomfort, and temporary blurred vision. These side effects may not occur in every patient using this medication and will gradually resolve over time. If the side effects persist longer or worsen, please seek a doctor's advice.

If you are allergic to contents of Eyetech Eye Drops, inform your doctor before taking it. Avoid contact of the tip of the dropper with the eye, eyelids, fingers, and other surfaces to prevent contamination. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting Eyetech Eye Drops. This medicine may cause temporary blurred vision; hence drive only when you are alert and have clear vision.
