About ERdomac 300mg Capsule

ERdomac 300mg Capsule belongs to the expectorant or mucolytic agent class. It is generally used to treat the symptoms of worsening short, severe episodes of chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is a long-term inflammation of the airways (bronchi) in the lungs. Chronic bronchitis is a type of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) defined as a productive cough of more than three months occurring within two years.

ERdomac 300mg Capsule contains Erdosteine, a mucolytic agent (cough/sputum thinner). It works by modulating the sputum viscosity in the respiratory tract, making it more fluid and less thick, increasing the mucociliary rate and allowing mucus removal from the respiratory tract.

You should take ERdomac 300mg Capsule exactly as your doctor has instructed. This medication may have some common adverse effects, including epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, taste changes, and heartburn. The majority of these ERdomac 300mg Capsule negative effects subside over time without the need for medical care. However, consult a doctor if the adverse effects worsen or persist.

It is recommended not to use if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to erdosteine or any other ingredients present in ERdomac 300mg Capsule or if you suffer from severe liver failure, severely decreased kidney function, and have a stomach ulcer or deficiency of the cystathionine-synthetase enzyme (metabolic condition). The use of erdosteine in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended. It should be used in children only if prescribed by the doctor.
