About Endospore Cream

Endospore Cream is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat tinea unguium (fungal infection of nails), tinea versicolor (discoloured skin by fungal infection), athlete’s foot (ringworm of the foot), skin irritation and inflammation caused by fungal infections.

Endospore Cream is composed of two medicines: Terbanifine and Salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (softens, separates, and causes desquamation (peeling) of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin), which breaks down the clumps of keratin, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. Salicylic acid is also an anti-inflammatory agent and topical antibacterial agent. Terbinafine kills the fungi by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering. Together, Endospore Cream helps in treating skin infections.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. Endospore Cream is for topical (for skin use) only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Endospore Cream has common side effects like warmth or a burning sensation, skin irritation, itching and redness at the application site.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Endospore Cream or other medications. Unless the doctor advises, do not put a dressing or bandage on the affected area. Endospore Cream should not be applied to mucous membranes, lesions, and large areas of the skin. Please check with your doctor before using Endospore Cream to see if you have kidney, liver diseases, or other skin infections. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Endospore Cream.
