Encicarb Injection 2 ml contains ‘ferric carboxymaltose’, which acts as a source of iron and helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Encicarb Injection 2 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. Do not take Encicarb Injection 2 ml if you are allergic to any of its components, if you have anaemia not caused by iron deficiency, iron overload (excess iron in the body), or disturbances in iron utilisation. Inform your doctor if you have systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infection, low phosphorus levels, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and phosphorus levels whilst on treatment with Encicarb Injection 2 ml is advised.
Encicarb Injection 2 ml might cause blackening/darkening of the stools and can interfere with test results. Inform the person doing the tests that you are taking Encicarb Injection 2 ml if you are having tests on your stools.
