Directions for Use

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet/capsule. Elpres Tablet can be taken with or without food at the same time daily for best results. Syrup/Suspension/Oral solution: Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack. Shake the pack well before use.

What if I have taken an overdose of Elpres Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Elpres Tablet as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include slurred speech, fainting, difficulty breathing, slow heart rate, shivering, confusion, tiredness, weakness, drowsiness, smaller pupils and cold, pale skin. If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Elpres Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Speak to your doctor if you have heart, kidney, or liver problems. Do not take Elpres Tablet with medicines that affect the heart rate like epinephrine, diltiazem, verapamil and digoxin as it may cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). Please do not stop taking Elpres Tablet without consulting your doctor as it may lead to a rise in blood pressure. Continue taking Elpres Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you. Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Elpres Tablet . So, it is advisable to drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
You are advised to inform the doctor that you are taking Elpres Tablet if you are due to undergo any surgery or medical procedure. Elpres Tablet can be taken up to 4 hours before surgery. Try not to take it within the 4 hours before your surgery. However, you can restart it right away after surgery.
Combining heart rate-controlling drugs (like digoxin, epinephrine, diltiazem and verapamil) with Elpres Tablet can slow your heart rate. So, consult any heart specialist or cardiologist before using both drugs together.
