About Elores 1.5gm Injection

Elores 1.5gm Injection belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics. It is used to treat life-threatening infections caused by gram-negative bacteria. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection.

Elores 1.5gm Injection contains ceftriaxone (third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic), Disodium Edetate (an Antibiotic Resistance Breaker), and Sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). Ceftriaxone works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing bacteria. Disodium Edetate and Sulbactam work by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of Ceftizoxime against the bacteria. Thus, Elores 1.5gm Injection helps treat bacterial infections.

Elores 1.5gm Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, Elores 1.5gm Injection may cause injection site reactions, diarrhoea, rashes, abdominal pain, nausea, and abnormalities in the number of white blood cells and platelets. Most of these side effects of Elores 1.5gm Injection do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Let your doctor know about your medical and medication history to avoid the occurrence of potential interactions. Elores 1.5gm Injection should only be given during pregnancy when it clearly necessary. Hence, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant or plan to have a baby; your doctor will weigh the benefits of Elores 1.5gm Injection therapy against the risks. Breastfeeding should be avoided unless instructed by the doctor. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided while on treatment with Elores 1.5gm Injection.

Uses of Elores 1.5gm Injection

Treatment of Bacterial infections

Medicinal Benefits

Elores 1.5gm Injection contains ceftriaxone (third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic), Disodium Edetate, and Sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). Elores 1.5gm Injection is a unique and patented anti-infective product that is primarily used to treat potentially fatal illnesses caused by gram-negative bacteria. Ceftriaxone works by preventing the production of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering required for survival). As a result, the bacterial cell wall is damaged, and the organism (bacteria) is killed. Disodium Edetate and Sulbactam function by lowering bacterial resistance and increasing Ceftizoxime action against bacteria.

Directions for Use

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Probiotics should be taken after taking the full course of Elores 1.5gm Injection to restore healthy bacteria that may have been killed in the intestine. Taking probiotics after antibiotic treatment can reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Certain fermented foods like yoghurt, cheese, sauerkraut, kombucha, and kimchi can help restore the intestine's good bacteria.
  • Include more fibre-enriched food in your diet, as it can be easily digested by gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Whole grains like whole-grain bread and brown rice should be included in your diet.
  • Avoid intake of alcoholic beverages with Elores 1.5gm Injection as it can make you dehydrated and may affect your sleep. This can make it harder for your body to aid Elores 1.5gm Injection in fighting off infections.
