Elina Tablet contains Mizolastine which works by blocking histamine effects, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. It helps relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, or stuffiness.
Take Elina Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Elina Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience sleepiness, dizziness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat and difficulty breathing, generalized skin rash (nettle rash), itching, and fainting. Most of these side effects of Elina Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Elina Tablet may interact with an immunosuppressant medication (ciclosporin), blood pressure-lowering medicines (nifedipine), a medicine used to treat heart disease (adenosine), antifungal (ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin), medicines for stomach ulcers (cimetidine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Elina Tablet may interact with grapefruit juice. Therefore, avoid grapefruit juice intake with Elina Tablet . Also, avoid alcohol consumption with Elina Tablet as it may cause increased drowsiness, dizziness, impairment of judgment, and thinking.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Before taking Elina Tablet , let your doctor know if have hepatic dysfunction, clinically significant bradycardia, and QT prolongation, or with electrolyte imbalance, in particular, hypokalaemia.
Add ginger to foods or tea as it contains some anti-inflammatory compounds that can relax membranes in the airways and reduce cough, irritation and swelling in nasal passages.
Staying hydrated is vital for those with a cough or cold. Drink liquids at room temperature to get relief from a runny nose, cough and sneezing.
