About Ebexid Tablet

Ebexid Tablet is used to treat hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is a chronic condition in which the thyroid gland (located below the throat in the neck) cannot produce enough thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormones are composed of triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), which control the body's metabolism. In the condition of an underactive thyroid, the body's metabolism slows down, and the person feels less energetic.

Ebexid Tablet contains Thyroxine, Pyridoxine, and Nicotinamide. Thyroxine replaces the thyroid hormone that the thyroid gland is unable to produce. Pyridoxine/vitamin B6 helps in the utilisation of iodine, which is necessary for the synthesis of thyroxine hormone. Nicotinamide helps in keeping the body cells active. Pyridoxine and Nicotinamide help in providing essential nutrients. Together, Ebexid Tablet helps in treating hypothyroidism.

You are advised to take Ebexid Tablet as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as anxiety, vomiting, tremor, diarrhoea, palpitations, weight loss, and nervousness.
