About Dolset-TP Tablet 10's

Dolset-TP Tablet 10's is a combination medicine that contains pain relievers and muscle relaxants, and is used to treat pain associated with muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort caused by the muscle spasm. A muscle spasm occurs due to involuntary contractions of a muscle. A spasm may be a muscle cramp or feel tight or stiff, like a knot.

Dolset-TP Tablet 10's contains Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone works on the spinal cord and brain centres to relieve muscle stiffness without decreasing strength. It increases the supply of blood to the muscles. This reduces pain and improves the movement of muscles. Aceclofenac and Paracetamol block prostaglandins' (PGs) that cause pain and swelling.

Take Dolset-TP Tablet 10's as prescribed. You may experience common side effects, such as nausea (feeling sick), constipation, flatulence, diarrhoea, dizziness, sleepiness, sweating, abdominal pain, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Before prescribing Dolset-TP Tablet 10's, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Also, tell your doctor about your medical history and other medications you are currently taking to rule out any potential adverse effects. Do not take Dolset-TP Tablet 10's unless recommended by the doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Dolset-TP Tablet 10's may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert and focused. Dolset-TP Tablet 10's should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and Dolset-TP Tablet 10's as it could lead to liver damage.

Treatment of Muscle spasms

Medicinal Benefits

Dolset-TP Tablet 10's treats muscle spasms. it consists of Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone is a centrally-acting muscle relaxant. It works on the spinal cord and brain to relieve contraction or muscle stiffness. It also increases the supply of blood to the muscles. On the other hand, both Aceclofenac and Paracetamol inhibit cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, fewer PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.
